Gaining Skill through Training
In addition
to gaining in a skill by actually using it, you can now practice a skill
to any level by paying an npc to train you. Unlike on other shards
however, you do not receive the skill that you pay for right away.
When you pay an npc to train you, you begin 'practicing' that skill
every 5 minutes that you are in game. At these 5 minute marks, you
will get gains in the skills in the skills that you are practicing,
although it takes more than 5 minutes for a gain at higher skill levels.

This is a
good, cheap way to get skills up when they are low. At high levels
(approximately 70 and up) however, it begins to get very expensive.
